Gurgaon DC asks DSC Limited to make Delhi Gurgaon Expressway safer
Tweet
The Gurgaon administration has finally woken up from its deep sleep.
Gurgaon Deputy Commissioner Rajender Kataria has now asked the operator of the Delhi Gurgaon Expressway to take action to make it safer for travellers.
The expressway connecting Delhi and Gurgaon has already seen more than 100 deaths since it was opened last year.
He admitted: “It seems that the concessionaire is not interested in adopting any measures other than collecting money.”
Sachin Sharma, representative of Jaypee DSC Ventures could only say that putting in adequate safety measures were not part of the agreement signed with the government. He had this answer for the family of Rahul Anand who is one of the individuals who lost his life on the deadly highway.

I was coming back from (Gurgaon) my Niece’s birthday party with my
Mother (62 years), My Wife and My Son (1.4 Years). The Car was a Green
colored Maruti Ritz I am afraid to give my car registration number to
DSC Limited as I am not sure about the internal integrity. Due to
heavy traffic on the cash lanes and due to my mother’s asthma problem
I took a decision to cross the toll using one of the TAG Lanes. Just
near the gate some of your officials with walky talkies and no uniform
or safety jackets started closing the lane in which I was. This caused
a traffic jam, I was in a hurry as my Mother’s asthma inhaler was not
there with us and I had to reach home early in order to give it to my
Mother. I rolled down my window and requested the officials in Hindi
” Bhaisab aap kuch karo age jam lagraha hai” to which I was answered
” Kya bool rahahai be kya kare be”. I enquired the persons name and he
identified himself as Deepak.
On reaching the cashier the above mentioned person instructed the
cashier not to give the receipt (Parchi mat dena usko). To which I
opposed but I was told by the same person in the most profane language
to get out from there.
For the first time in life I was scared and was worried about my
family’s security with in Delhi (I have been born and brought up in
Delhi).
The Person (Deepak) was around six feet, very short hair, accent was
from Haryana.
We crossed the third last TAG Lane (we were going from Gurgaon to
Delhi). I don’t have a toll ticket so please find my Car’s description
as above and we crossed the booth between 9:50 pm to 10:15pm
I would like to ask you the following questions?
1. Why is there no traffic police available 24/7 at the toll?
2. Why does no body wear a uniform with Name Tags at these places?
3. Why doesn’t Traffic police ensure the smoothness of traffic AT the toll gate?
4. Is there a video surveillance system installed there and does it work?
5. Does a Police back ground check happen when an employee is
recruited in your organization?
The above questions are to all you honerable officials of Police and
DSC Limited.
I demand to know the answers as I am a TAX payer and My family’s
security depends on the above.
